Chapter Nine: Until now we were discussing the Finite Permeating Linear Light. Now the mamor begins discussion the Infinite Encompassing Linear Light: (i) The definition of Infinite Encompassing Circular Light, is not that it is encompassing geographically. Rather, it means encompassing in the manner that it is elusive, and beyond grasp. (ii) Jewish faith is that G-d vivifies the world in both dimension: (a) The Finite Permeating Linear Light, which we can digest, internalize, and grasp, and (b) the Infinite Encompassing Linear Light, which we cannot internalize, nor grasp.
Thus, the primary concept of faith for a Jew is in the Infinite Encompassing Circular Light, which we cannot grasp. (iii) Man sees that that which is not divinity dies (the body), while that which is divinity lives eternally (the soul), and thus, he understand that his life depends upon his body’s self-negation to his soul. (iv) Thus, in the Finite Permeating Linear Light it isn’t applicable that much the concept of faith (for we can see and understand intellectually). The primary concept of faith for a Jew is in the Infinite Encompassing Circular Light.
