Previous Rebbe's Maamar — Chapter 11

Chapter Eleven: (i) Everyone can find within himself, at some refined level, the “Even at the very mouth of the tunnel (breach), the thief calls out to the Merciful One (G-d)”: (a) Asking G-d for something that is against His will for him, thinking that he deserves it. (b) That which he is asking G-d for is not only for the sake of G-d, meaning his service to G-d. (c) Not having absolute integrity in business. All of the above being because he sees himself as a something and of importance, an ex, and not a nihilo.

(ii) All of this is because Faith is Encompassing, and it needs to be fed, it needs a livelihood tin order that it be internalized and digested. And this is done through Moses, the Faithful Shepherd - Shepherd of Faith. That Moses feed faith even to the lower souls - ‘feet’.
