Chapter Two: The Previous Rebbe continues with the victory being through the children studying Torah. This is what the verse states (-Psalms 8:3), “Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings You have established strength… in order to put an end to enemy and avenger ”. Wars are battled by one army of great strength facing another army of great strength, thus, what is the verse saying that the battle will be won by babes and sucklings? The answer is, that the verse states (-Zacharia 4:6), “Not by military force and not by physical strength, but by My spirit,' says the L-rd of Hosts”.
Thus, being that “great strength is Torah” the question gets stronger, how is it that at the times of Haman when Jewish People were in a lowly state (Torah-study for children was forbidden), that they achieved what they couldn’t in the higher state of being at the Giving of the Torah?
