Sukkah, Chapter 5, Mishnah 2. This mishnah continues describing the order of the Simchas Beis HaSho'evah and how it was conducted in the Beis HaMikdash.
The Great Repair in the Ezras Nashim:
"B'motza'ei Yom Tov harishon shel hechag yardu l'Ezras Nashim" - on the night following the first day of Sukkos, those who were engaged in the work, the kohanim and the Levi'im, went down to the Ezras Nashim (the Women's Courtyard).
"U'mesaknin sham tikkun gadol" - this refers to setting up a partition: they built a balcony there, so that the women would sit and watch from above while the men stood below, and they would not be mingled with one another during the Simchas Beis HaSho'evah.
The Menoros and Their Lighting:
"U'menoros shel zahav hayu sham" - large golden lamps that were set up in the place in order to light up the night.
"V'arba'ah sefalim shel zahav b'rasheihen" - at the top of each lamp there were four large bowls made of gold.
"V'arba'ah sulamos l'chol echad v'echad" - each lamp had four ladders, each one leading up to one of the bowls.
"V'arba'ah yeladim mipirchei chehunah" - young kohanim whose beards had only just begun to grow.
"U'videihem kadim shel shemen shel me'ah v'esrim log" - jugs of olive oil. The Gemara explains that the four jugs of the four youths together held one hundred and twenty log, thirty log for each jug.
"Shehen matilin l'chol sefel v'sefel" - they would pour the oil into each and every one of the bowls at the tops of the lamps, to light up the night with them.
In summary: in this mishnah we learned about the great repair that was made in the Ezras Nashim on the night after the first day of the festival - the erecting of the balcony that separated the women from the men; and about the large golden lamps that were set up there to light up the night, the four bowls at their tops, the four ladders on each lamp, and the four young kohanim who held the jugs of oil from which they poured into the bowls.
