Chapter Six: Our Sages teach (-Baba Basra 9a), “One who causes others to perform (a meritorious act) is greater than one who performs (that act himself) (as it is stated (-Isaiah 32:17), ‘And the causing of righteousness shall be peace, and the work of righteousness, quietness, and assurance forever’).” Thus, one (feet) who supports Torah-study, and one who gets people, especially the simpletons (feet), to attend study-groups are greater. Thus we understand that the virtue of the foot (supporters) are greater than the head, even though from the perspective of life and revelation the head is greater.
All internal organs, such as the heart, that life depends upon have greater heights of life and revelation than that of the foot. Even the hands, the poser of action have within them the internal dimension of action, intellect and emotion, as they draw. Feet have only the external dimension of action. Thus, the feet are the lowest dimension.
